Penalolen TEZ
The Penalolen Tez 2012 vintage has been aged in French Oak barrels. The wine is a subtle blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot. This rich and generous wine is an intense Ruby colour, with sweet menthol hints with red berries. The aging gives a range of spicy cacao, soft vanilla and balsamic cedar tones. Subtle notes of raspberries, blackcurrants and blueberries are evident with tannins. This wine should be decanted and left to breath for 2-3 hours in order to achieve the best possible notes and flavours.
This Cabernet Sauvignon Red Wine has the elegance and finesse of a fine Bordeaux, without the price tag! Full-bodied, ripe black fruit with refined tannins create a long, elegant finish.
Food Suggestions: Pair with grilled meats, mature cheese and any red sauce pasta dishes.
Origin: Maipo Valley, Central Chile.
Barrels: The wine is aged for 16 to 18 months in French Oak barrels before bottling to age for a further 18 months.
