Tempranillo

Tempranillo is a red grape variety which forms the backbone of some of the finest wines from Spain and Portugal.

Almost every red wine from Rioja and Ribera del Duero has Tempranillo at its core, and in Portugal the variety is widely used in the Douro Valley, under the name Tinta Roriz, both for table wines and fortified wines (Port).

Dehesa La Granja Peonia Tempranillo

Clear and shiny appearance. Cherry-red colour with a violet rim. Its bouquet contains subtle notes of very ripe red fruits with soft rounded balsamic hints and well-toasted smoky notes in the finish. Strong, silky and elegant after long ageing, but at the same time fleshy with a good structure and very powerful and rounded tannins.
